A one day interactive technical course will provide you with the knowledge of an approved handler's responsibilities for class 6, 8, and 9 substances including for example pickling paste and hydrofluoric acid.
Obtain practical advice to assist in the use, storage, and disposal of toxics, corrosives, and ecotoxic substances in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017 (HSW(HS)R).
QEC certification of handlers (class 6) does not include agrichemicals, veterinary medicines, fumigants and vertebrate toxic agents
Who should attend:
- Those seeking to be an certifited handler for class 6.1A and B substances with class 8, and 9 properties
- Those seeking to renew their expired or current certified handler certificate (formerly approved handler)
- Those interested in learning more about HSW(HS)R, HSWA, and HSNO
Successful completion of this course and assessment will allow a person to become an certified handler for class 6 substances under the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations
