The Health and Safety at Work (HSW) Act came into force today.

The Health and Safety at Work (HSW) Act came into force today. This is an important step in the Government's response to improve the high rate of fatalities and serious harm injuries in New Zealand's workplaces. Information on the Act is available on the websites for the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (http://www.mbie.govt.nz/info-services/employment-skills/workplace-health-and-safety-reform) and WorkSafe New Zealand (http://www.business.govt.nz/worksafe/hswa).
These websites contain useful tools and information to maintain effective health and safety systems.
