Do you work in hazardous noise environments or use tools or machinery with high noise levels?

This interactive workshop is designed to provide you with the knoweldge to recognise the dangers of high noise levels, what personal protection equipment you can use and how to use it correctly.
This course is designed to teach participants about:

    Health and Safety in Employment Act (HSE) and limits for occupational noise exposure
    The Approved Code of Practice for the Management of Noise in the Workplace
    What sound is
    The ear
    Measuring sound
    Sound level meters and noise surveys
    What noise induced hearing loss is
    Symptoms of hearing loss
    Prevention of hearing loss
    Personal hearing protection equipment
    How to properly use personal hearing protection equipment
    How to maintain personal hearing protection equipment

Pre-requisites:

You will need to provide us with your PGDB number if you require technical points.
