We are a multi service consulting company and Private Training Establishment with an extensive client base. Specialising in all aspects of quality, environmental, and health and safety management systems, we seek a qualified health and safety consultant to join our team.
In this role you will undertake the following key duties:
Work with a range of clients to develop and improve their health and safety management systems including procedural development and implementation
Design and deliver of a range of health and safety training programmes
Undertake audits and assessments of compliance to various standards and regulations and required reporting
Consultancy activities including hazardous substance management, safety data sheet preparation, noise monitoring, WES assessments, machinery guarding, compliance assessments, report writing, auditing and other specific health and safety work.
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience with the implementation of health and safety management systems. In addition you will have experience in developing and presenting training material to adult learners. A tertiary qualification in Health & Safety is essential. Auditing skills and qualifications would also be advantageous.
This full time role would suit someone who has an outgoing personality, the ability to learn quickly and enjoys a challenging and varied work environment. In addition you will be self motivated, able to work unsupervised, produce consistently high quality work and thrive on deadlines and targets.
Whilst the QEC office is based in Cambridge, we deliver consultancy and training throughout New Zealand so regular travel will be required. Specific training will be provided.

Project Manager - Food Safety Compliance
We are a multi service consulting company and Private Training Establishment with an extensive client base. Specialising in all aspects of quality, environmental, and health and safety management systems, we seek an experienced project manager to further our food safety programmes.
In this role you will undertake the following key duties:
Develop our internal systems and coordinate compliance to advance certification to enable accreditation to appropriate standards.
Manage our contract for food sampling and research with NZFSA.
Prepare business plans for growth incorporating budgets and resourcing needs.
Develop surveillance schedules for food related audits.
Market, develop and expand the company client base related to food service provision.
Recruit and manage reporting food auditors in partnership with our management.
